A quiet pause in your browser

An online Buddhist temple to explore

Walk through Everyone's Temple as a monk, listen to Buddhist chants, offer a candle, bow or stand with your palms together in prayer. This 3D space is available in a browser on your phone or PC.

Inside the halls and around the grounds

  • Candles, bows and prayer — Writing a personal prayer is optional. Inside the Main Hall, Mountain Spirit Shrine, Dragon King Shrine or outdoor Avalokiteshvara Altar, bows use a nearby cushion. Joining your palms keeps you in your current spot.
  • A temple walk — Explore the stairs, office footbridge, gravel courtyard and shrines, then look out over the river and bridge from the lookout.
  • Life in the temple — Meet the chanting and drum-playing monks in the Main Hall, and a Siamese cat roaming the stairs, footbridge and courtyards.

Walking and looking around

  1. Click or tap the ground to walk there. You can also choose a destination from Move in the bottom navigation.
  2. Use the arrow keys on a PC or the lower-left joystick on a phone to move directly.
  3. Drag with a mouse or one finger to look around through 360 degrees. Use the wheel or two fingers to adjust the distance.
  4. Choose one, two or three bows from Bow. End Palms together with the same button or the S key.

More controls are listed under Settings → Help. Under Settings → Display, choose Korean, English or Japanese.

Listening to chants

The music-note button at the top turns chants on or off. Once enabled, playback can start near the Main Hall after your first tap or key press, and pauses when you move away.

Choose a track or start playback from the chant list under Settings → Sound.

  1. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the Vulture Peak Assembly
  2. Great Compassion Dharani
  3. Thousand-Hand Sutra

Chants and sound effects, including birdsong, have separate on/off and volume controls. If your browser blocks automatic playback, use the play button in sound settings.

Your records and a shared room

Candles, personal prayers and bow counts are saved in your current browser. They do not automatically sync across devices. Settings → Data lets you export or restore a JSON backup.

Visitors in the same temple room can see one another's nicknames, character positions and poses. Messages you send appear in that room as speech bubbles. Room chat is separate from your personal practice records and prayers.

If the rooms are full, admission waits for a space. Clearing browser data can remove your personal records, so back up any records you want to keep.

Before you visit

This guide can be read without JavaScript. The 3D temple experience needs JavaScript and a browser that supports WebGL.

On a less powerful device, try low visual quality or reduced motion under Settings → Display. A simple candle display is available when WebGL cannot be used.

The temple opens directly after its logo loading screen. Reading this guide is optional.
